Site Council Meeting notice
To: Community Members, Parents, and Staff
The Joseph City Elementary School will be hosting a site council meeting Monday, May 16, 2022 at 3:40pm, in the Elementary School Learning Center. This is an open meeting and you are welcome to attend and offer any input on what our school can do to improve. The official purpose of the site council is to discuss curricular and instructional issues that promote the school vision and the overall success of our students.
This meeting is an opportunity for stakeholders to provide input on school decisions and to contribute in making improvements in our schools.

Parents need to bring students for the early games. Enrichment Buses will run at normal Enrichment Day times.
Joseph City Schools is hiring part-time seasonal workers for custodial, technology and inventory projects. Pay starts at $12.80 per hour, higher pay if experienced. Apply at jcusd.org/jobs.

The purpose of this email is to inform you that it is time for the annual pre-registration for next school year (2022-23). This pre-registration is required for all returning students. The deadline to complete the pre-registration is Monday, April 25th.
If you do not have internet access at home or if you need helping completing the registration, please contact your student's school and we can set up a meeting to help you complete the registration at one of our offices.
INSTRUCTIONS
1) Log on to the Joseph City Unified School District Campus Parent Portal.
2) At the bottom of the black navigation pane, click on the " More" link
3) More options will appear just to the right of the black navigation pane. Click on the Online Registration link.
4) Click the "Start" button for the 2022-23 Existing Student Registration option.
5) Click button " Begin Registration".
Are you missing some students? If they are currently enrolled at a Joseph City school, please contact your student's school.

Joseph City Schools will be holding parent/teacher conferences this Thursday, March 24. The JH/HS will be open for parents to come meet with the teachers from 1pm-4:30pm and then from 5pm-7pm. The teachers for 4th and 5th grade teachers will be available between 1pm and 7pm. No appointments are necessary for grades 4-12.
Parents with students in Kindergarten-3rd grade should have received a letter to set up a conference time. If you did not receive this message please contact the elementary office for your scheduled time.
We will also be on a half day schedule. Please remember that students will be released at noon. Buses will run immediately following.
Due to the half day on Thursday, we will not be running our 6:15pm practice buses.
Happy Pi Day! 3.14 Ayden Righi and Paxton Bushman memorized the most digits of Pi out of all the 5th graders and 4th grades. Congratulations. They are the winners of a Pie. Ayden wanted a Chocolate Cream Pie and Paxton wanted a Lemon Meringue Pie. Students that memorized at least 10 digits of Pi, earned an engraved Pi Pencil.
There have been some questions regarding the bus schedule for a 2 hour delayed start. The bus pick up times will just be two hours later than normal.
Due to icy road conditions, Joseph City Schools will be on a 2 hour delay today, Thursday Feb 24.
Joseph City Schools will be having an early release day on February 23, 2022. Students will be released from school at their regularly scheduled lunch times. Lunches will still be served. Buses will leave the campuses approximately 20 minutes after students are released to go to lunch. All afterschool activities are also canceled for the day.
Due to the weather conditions and the power outage Joseph City Schools will be closed today. All classes are canceled.

The Joseph City Elementary School will be hosting a site council meeting on November 30, at 3:40pm, in the Elementary School Learning Center. This is an open meeting and you are welcome to attend and offer any input on what our school can do to improve. The official purpose of the site council is to discuss curricular and instructional issues that promote the school vision and the overall success of our students. Some of the topics on the agenda for discussion at this meeting include:
• artificial turf
• update playground
• intramural soccer
• school goals/objectives
• tutoring and enrichment programs
• the school calendar
This meeting is an opportunity for stakeholders to provide input on school decisions and to contribute in making improvements in our schools. If there are items that you would like to discuss at this meeting, but that are not listed above as a topic for discussion, please let me know so that I can place it on the agenda and make preparations for discussion. I appreciate your service to our school and I am looking forward to meeting with you.
